Abstract: A computer-implemented method for collaborative environmental impact optimization of manufacturing processes, the method comprising the steps of: receiving, by at least one processor and via a communication interface, first input data relating to at least one chemical product comprising environmental impact metrics data related to environmental impact metrics and product property data related to chemical or physical properties of the at least one chemical product; and second input data relating to at least one chemical product comprising environmental impact metrics data related to environmental impact metrics and product property data related to chemical or physical properties of the at least one chemical product; determining a first normalized environmental impact calculation model for the first input data, the first normalized environmental impact calculation model describing a functional relationship between the environmental impact metrics data and the product property data; and determining a second normalized environmental impact calculation model for the second input data, the second normalized environmental impact calculation model describing a functional relationship between the environmental impact metrics data and the product property data; connecting the first normalized environmental impact calculation model and the second normalized environmental impact calculation model to a connected normalized environmental impact calculation model; and providing, by the at least one processor, output data of the connected normalized environmental impact calculation model over a variable value range, and based on the output data optimizing the manufacturing processes.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for producing a product by selection of one or more chemical precursors, the method comprising: (a) receiving, from an interface, at least two data sets comprising (i) material data related to chemical or physical properties of the one or more chemical precursors and (ii) environmental impact metrics data related to environmental impact metrics for the one or more chemical precursors necessary for manufacturing the product; (b) providing an environmental impact calculation model describing a functional relationship between the material data and the environmental impact metrics data; (c) optionally retrieving, from a database, historical environmental impact metrics data for the one or more chemical precursors, the historical environmental impact metrics data comprising historic environmental impact metrics corresponding to the one or more chemical precursors; (d) ranking the at least two data sets by a distance from predefined minimum values in multiple dimensions of the environmental impact calculation model and generating thereon based ranking results; and (e) optionally obtaining a degree of matching between the ranking results of the environmental impact calculation model and the historical environmental impact metrics data and generating thereon based matching results; and (f) selecting one or more chemical precursors out of a plurality of chemical precursors based on the ranking results and/or the matching results and adding the selected one or more chemical precursors to a production process of the product.

Abstract: The invention refers to an apparatus for controlling a production process of a product produced from a plurality of pre-products, in particular, in a recycling process. A providing unit provides expected production data indicative of the pre-products and of production parameters expected for the production of the product. A receiving unit receives for each expected pre-product pre-production data from a plurality of independent production entities. An optimization unit determines an optimized production of the product with respect to a predetermined goal related to one or more pre-production parameters based on the production data and the pre-production data. A control unit provides control signals for controlling the production of the product based on the determined optimized production.
