Abstract: Polyoxazolin with a photoactivatable group The present invention relates to a polyoxazoline of the formula I as defined below; to a method for synthesizing the polyoxazoline of the formula I, comprising the reaction of an aryl ketone which comprises a deprotonated phenolic hydroxy group with an intermediate polyoxazoline of the formula X as defined below; to a polymer comprising the polyoxazoline of the formula I, where E comprises an ethylenically unsaturated group in polymerized form; to a coated material comprising a coating which contains the polyoxazoline of the formula I or the polymer; and to a use of the polyoxazoline of the formula I or the polymer as antifouling coating.
