Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to novel water-soluble cationic polymers and their use either alone or in conjunction with coagulant aids to flocculate or coagulate matter suspended in aqueous systems. The novel polymer is prepared by reacting an alkylene polyamine with an epihalohydrin under specific conditions which include the incremental reaction of the epihalohydrin to fully react with the epihalohydrin and attain a polymer of uniform viscosity.
