Abstract: A driving method for a display panel (100), and a display apparatus. The method includes: acquiring display data of a current frame and display data of a previous frame (S10); determining whether the display data of the current frame is the same as the display data of the previous frame (S20); if not, converting a default gray scale voltage corresponding to at least one sub-pixel among default gray scale voltages corresponding to a default gray scale bit number carried by the display data of the current frame into a target gray scale voltage of a target gray scale bit number, and driving the display panel (100) to display (S30).

Abstract: A source driver includes at least one data input terminal, a plurality of data output terminals, at least two control terminals and a plurality of source driving circuits. Each source driving circuit is connected to a data input terminal of the at least one data input terminal, a data output terminal of the plurality of data output terminals and the at least two control terminals. The source driving circuit is configured such that: the source driving circuit converts a format of a data signal from the data input terminal; and in response to one of different control signals that is received by all the at least two control terminals, the source driving circuit has a corresponding different output impedance, and transmits the converted data signal to the data output terminal.

The grayscale signal compensation unit comprises: a compensation coefficient determination sub-unit configured to determine a compensation coefficient according to a position of a pixel to be driven; an inquiry sub-unit configured to inquire a reference compensation value corresponding to the initial grayscale signal according to a pre-stored grayscale compensation correspondence table for a row of pixels farthest from the source driving circuit, wherein the grayscale compensation correspondence table contains different grayscale signals and corresponding reference compensation values thereof; a calculation sub-unit configured to calculate an actual compensation value corresponding to the pixel to be driven according to the compensation coefficient and the inquired reference compensation value; and a compensation sub-unit configured to compensate for the initial grayscale signal according to the actual compensation value.

Abstract: A gray-scale drive table generating device is described that includes a sampling circuit configured to collect a first voltage between a drive electrode of a sub-pixel of a positive-frame and a common electrode and a second voltage between a drive electrode of a sub-pixel of a negative-frame and the common electrode in a display panel in each gray-scale; a processing circuit configured to generate a trigger signal when a voltage difference between the first voltage and the second voltage is greater than a voltage threshold; an adjustment circuit configured to adjust drive gray-scales of the sub-pixel of the positive-frame and/or the sub-pixel of the negative-frame in response to the trigger signal to make the voltage difference less than the voltage threshold; and a recording circuit configured to generate an adjusted gray-scale drive table according to the drive gray-scales of the sub-pixel of the positive-frame and the sub-pixel of the negative-frame in each gray-scale.
