Abstract: The present invention relates to a solid, particulate catalyst component having an mean particle size range of 5 to 200 μm and comprising a compound of a Group 2 metal, a compound of a transition metal of Group 4 to 6, and at least two internal electron donors being different to each other and being non-phthalic organic compounds selected from (did)esters of non-phthalic carboxylic (did)acids, 1,3-diet hers and did-esters of 1,3-diol compounds and derivatives thereof, and wherein the solid particulate catalyst component is free of any external support material. Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for producing a solid olefin polymerization catalyst component from an emulsion wherein the particle size of the solid catalyst or the droplet size of the emulsion is controlled. The actual size of the droplets or the solid catalyst particles is measured, or alternatively, both are measured. Then a difference between the actual size and the set point is calculated and the process is controlled based on the difference.
