Abstract: A hermetically sealed electrical connector capable of operation in temperatures from -55* to 225* C. As disclosed, it comprises an outer shell of light weight aluminum alloy, surrounding copper contacts extending through a glass insulator supported within the shell; the shell, the insulator, and the contacts being made from materials having specified coefficients of thermal expansion and yield strength effective to avoid destruction of the integrity of the seal by thermal expansion and contraction.
