Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus for holding a tool and mechanically operating the tool. The apparatus comprises a clamp which holds the tool and which is adjustably mounted on a plate. The plate is adjustably mounted to the surface of a support frame. A thrust means is also mounted to the frame for applying thrust to a portion of the tool, the thrust means being controllable by a control means which may be in the form of a foot switch. Movement of the thrust means operates the tool.
