Abstract: The invention relates to a back support belt system, in particular a back orthosis or reclination orthosis for the treatment and prevention of back problems. The system comprises a pelvis strap and two independent left and right shoulder straps extending therefrom, those shoulder straps crossing each other in the back and ribcage region and being connected to the pelvis strap via tension straps, for simultaneously tensioning the pelvis strap and the shoulder straps.
