    摘要: An anti-short bushing, for use between a tubular metal sheath and an electrical conductor carried within the metal sheath, comprising a tubular insulative unit configured to be inserted between the sheath and the conductor. The tubular insulative unit is formed as a single molded piece having three connected segments. Two of the segments are generally semi-cylindrical and each has a shoulder projecting radially therefrom at one end. The two segments are connected by an elongated hinge which permits them to be folded relative to one another to form a tubular configuration with their shoulders forming a partial circumferential shoulder. The third segment is connected to the elongated hinge by a second hinge to permit the third segment to be rotated to project radially outwardly so as to form with the two shoulders of the other two segments a complete circumferential shoulder.

    摘要: A hanger for suspending armored cable from a vertical wire holds the cable to one side of the wire and includes a sharp edge that engages the wire on the side opposite the cable; a force is applied to press the sharp edge against the wire to prevent the hanger from slipping down along the wire. In other aspects, the hanger is supported from only a single location on the wire; the hanger includes a slot into which the wire may be slipped to reach a position where the wire is grasped by the hanger; and the cable holding portion of the hanger includes a rib to seat in the helical groove of the armored cable.

    摘要: A terminal for making electrical connection to a conductor has a base and a gripper that is held in a fixed position along the length of the base by a gripping finger that acts in tension in one direction at one location along the length of the base and a back portion that acts in the opposite direction at a second location along the length of the base to resist the tension. In other aspects, the supporting leg makes contact with the base only at locations that are not as near to the end of the conductor as the locations at which the gripping finger presses the conductor; the pressing of the conductor into contact with the base is accomplished only by resilience of the gripping finger along a section that does not extend beyond the end of the base; the base has a number of troughs of different dimensions that respectively seat wires of different gauges; and the terminal is assembled by inserting the base in an opening defined by the force end of the supporting leg and gripping finger to a position in which the free end of the gripper contacts the base at a pivot point, and rotating the gripper about the pivot point until the back portion contacts the end of the base and the free end of the gripper engages a projection on the base.
