摘要： A sheet feeder includes: a sheet feeding assembly including: a shaft having an insertion part; and a feed roller; and a main body including: a rotary part; and first and second bearings. The main body supports the sheet feeding assembly. The rotary part rotates upon transmission of a drive force and receives the insertion part. The bearings support the shaft. An opening of an open portion of the first bearing has a circumferential dimension greater than a diameter of the shaft. The shaft supported by the bearings is movable between a mounted position and a retracted position. The feed roller is supported by the shaft, and movable as the shaft moves between the mounted position and the retracted position. The insertion part is separated from the rotary part when the shaft is in the retracted position, and inserted into the rotary part to place the shaft in the mounted position.

The controller is configured to perform: a first feeding process of controlling the feed roller to rotate at a first rotational speed while the shutter is at the restricting position and of controlling the shutter to move to the non-restricting position from the restricting position no earlier than rotation of the feed roller at the first rotational speed: a reduction process of controlling a rotational speed of the feed roller to be less than the first rotational speed; and a second feeding process of controlling the feed roller to rotate at a second rotational speed.

摘要： A card transport device transports one or more cards while reducing failures of its feed unit in feeding the cards. A card transport device includes a support surface that supports one or more cards thereon, a feed unit facing the support surface for feeding the one or more chards, a separator located downstream from the feed unit in a transport direction, a slope connected to a downstream support end of the support surface in the transport direction and extending obliquely upward downstream in the transport direction toward the separator, and a restrictor located on the support surface. The restrictor restricts a position of an upstream end of a particular card directly supported on the support surface, out of the one or more cards, thereby positioning a downstream end of the particular card to be downstream from the feed unit in the transport direction.

摘要： A sheet feeder includes: a feed roller; a transmission mechanism for transmitting a first drive force to the feed roller to rotate the feed roller in a feeding direction; a motor rotatable in a forward direction and in a reverse direction opposite the forward direction to generate a second drive force; a reverse roller rotatable in the feeding direction and in a counter-feeding direction opposite the feeding direction by the second drive force; and a driven part driven by the second drive force. The transmission mechanism transmits the first drive force to the feed roller to rotate the feed roller in the feeding direction in case that the reverse roller is rotated in the feeding direction; and the transmission mechanism transmits the first drive force to the feed roller to rotate the feed roller in the feeding direction in case that the reverse roller is rotated in the counter-feeding direction.

The cam portion is positioned upstream of the pressing portion in the conveying direction.
