    Abstract: A sheet conveying apparatus includes a rotation member unit, a supporting shaft, and a moving shaft to detach the rotation member unit supported by the supporting shaft and the moving shaft. The rotation member unit includes a conveyance rotation member to convey a sheet, and a holding member including an engaging portion to engage with an engaged portion provided to a sheet conveying apparatus main body in a direction perpendicular to the supporting shaft axial direction. The supporting shaft supports one end side of the rotation member unit in the axial direction and the moving shaft supports another end side of the rotation member unit in the axial direction and moves in the axial direction. When the engaging portion engages with the engaged portion when the rotation member unit is not supported by the supporting shaft and the moving shaft, the rotation member unit is held by the engaged portion.

    Abstract: A sheet conveyance device includes a driving rotation device, a driven rotation device, and a supporting device including first and second restriction surfaces and supporting the driven rotation device. The driving rotation device rotates by receiving rotational driving force and drives the driven rotation device to rotate at a position facing the driving rotation device. The driven rotation device includes a driven rotation member contacting the driving rotation device, a cylindrical shaft having a cylindrical shape that rotatably supports the driven rotation member, and a restriction member that is at least partially inserted in an inner circumference side of the cylindrical shaft. A position of the cylindrical shaft is restricted in a width direction crossing the sheet conveyance direction by the restriction member contacting the first restriction surface, and movement of the cylindrical shaft in a rotational direction is restricted by the restriction member contacting the second restriction surface.

    Abstract: A sheet storing apparatus includes a plurality of sheet storing units. Each of the sheet storing unit includes a fixed stacking portion configured to stack thereon a sheet conveyed by conveyance roller pairs, and a pushing unit configured to contact an edge of the sheet stacked on the stacking portion and to move the sheet in a direction substantially perpendicular to the sheet conveyance direction. A drive transmission unit for transmitting a driving force generated by a motor to drive the pushing unit is located upstream of the fixed stacking portion with respect to a direction in which the pushing unit moves the sheet. When the pushing unit is moving the sheet, a part of the drive transmission unit enters the inside of a sheet stacking range of the fixed stacking portion.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit provided on a first conveyance path, and a reading unit provided on a second conveyance path and configured to read image information from a sheet conveyed in the second conveyance path, with the second conveyance path branching from the first conveyance path. The sheet is conveyed through the second conveyance path in a case of forming an image on a second surface of the sheet opposite to a first surface of the sheet on which an image has been formed by the image forming unit. In addition, an opposing member opposes the reading unit with a space therebetween, and a conveyance roller conveys the sheet through the space between the reading unit and the opposing member and is rotatably supported by the opposing member.

    Abstract: A sheet discharge apparatus includes a pivot member pivoting in an up-down direction by being pressed by a sheet discharged from a sheet discharging portion, with the pivot member retained by being in contact with an uppermost sheet supported on the sheet supporting portion. A control unit changes a sheet interval between a preceding sheet and a succeeding sheet and executes a first discharge operation in which at least one sheet is discharged, and a second discharge operation in which sheets are discharged by the sheet discharging portion at a first sheet interval such that the pivot member does not contact with an uppermost sheet supported on the sheet supporting portion during the second discharge operation, and the control unit acquires a number of sheets to be discharged in the second discharge operation based on a detected position of the pivot member detected during the first discharge operation.
