Abstract: A heat exchanging device is provided for superheating molten metals, such as aluminum, which are reflective of radiant heat. Conductive channel walls are provided in a superheating furnace, said walls absorbing, conducting, and transferring heat from a high-temperature burner to the molten metal, which passes between said channel walls at high flow rates. Such superheated molten metal may be utilized for melting additional solid metal stock, for casting, or as desired.
