An image processing device of the present invention determines the pixel values of background pixels based on a pixel value histogram of a target image to be segmented into a foreground and a background, determines pixels of the target image having pixel values equivalent to the pixel values of these background pixels, as a portion of the background pixels, and determines other background pixels and foreground pixels in the target image by use of the pixel value of each pixel in the target image and the positional information of this portion of the background pixels.

A watching robot in the present invention includes an action detection unit that detects an action of a user, an action determination unit that determines an action of the watching robot based on the action of the user detected by the action detection unit, an action control unit that controls the watching robot to perform the action determined by the action determination unit, and an output unit that externally outputs information about the action of the watching robot determined by the action determination unit.
Abstract:
A measurement apparatus is equipped with a processor. The processor acquires first velocity data, which is data on a velocity in a first direction, and second velocity data, which is data on a velocity in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, on the basis of accelerations acquired at an acceleration sensor. The processor calculates a first coefficient on the basis of the acquired first velocity data and the acquired second velocity data. The processor determines whether the measurement apparatus is installed in normal orientation on the basis of the calculated first coefficient.
