Abstract: There is provided an electronic musical instrument including a performance operator and at least one processor, wherein the processor performs the following: reading multiple pieces of musical tone information of musical tone information of music data sequentially, each of which is associated with a sounding timing, respectively; in a case where the read musical tone information contains first musical tone information belonging to a first musical instrument group, storing or overwriting the first musical tone information in a first area of a memory in response to the reading, every time the performance operator is operated; giving an instruction to sound a first musical tone according to the first musical tone information stored in the first area at the timing when the performance operator is operated; and in a case where the performance operator is not operated, not giving the instruction to sound the first musical tone according to the first musical tone information stored in the first area.
