The solvent system may include a polyalkylene carbonate solvent and a second solvent. The first surfactant may be an alkoxylated alcohol. The second surfactant may be an ethoxylated castor oil. Methods for pest control may include contacting a population of pests with a pesticidal composition. In some aspects, pesticidal compositions are particularly suited for use against pests from the order Nematocera, Brachycera, and/or Cyclorrhapha.
