Abstract: A method of measuring a physical property of a solid body is provided. The method includes remotely deploying a measurement device into a body of ice prone water. The method also includes embedding the measurement device within an ice pack newly formed within the body of ice prone water. The method further includes storing data of the physical property within the measurement device.
