Abstract: A honeycomb extrusion die assembly (10) comprising a honeycomb extrusion die (701) and a forming plate (800) to block batch flow to at least a portion of a skin forming region. The honeycomb extrusion die (701) comprising a step cut discharge surface (758, 760) in the skin forming region and at least some slots (722) each with a divot (312) spaced toward a discharge surface (710) from a feedhole-slot intersection and a wide portion at the discharge surface (710) extending into the die body to the divot (312) to strengthen a peripheral region of a honeycomb extrudate in a reinforcement region, and a bulk nominal section corresponding to a bulk region of the honeycomb body.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a method of laminating component layers of a solid-state battery. In the method, two or more component layers of a solid-state battery are advanced in a first direction. The two or more component layers include at least one of a continuous ribbon substrate or a carrier film. The two or more component layers are pressed between a first pressing chamber and a second pressing chamber to laminate the two or more component layers of the solid-state battery. The first pressing chamber is configured to apply a first pressure uniformly over a first surface area, and the second pressing chamber is configured to apply a second pressure uniformly over a second surface area. The first pressure is substantially equal to the second pressure, and the first surface area is substantially equal to the second surface area.

Abstract: A drainage plate (10) for an extruder assembly including a body (12) having an inner edge (14) and an outer edge (15). A seal portion (24) of the body extends radially from the inner perimeter toward the outer perimeter. One of more drainage features are located radially outward of the seal portion. The one or more drainage features extend an axial depth into the body such that a first thickness (t1) of the drainage plate at the seal portion is greater than a second thickness (t2) of the drainage plate at the one or more drainage features.
