An adhesive is located on the back surface of the poster board and a peelable liner is removably adhered to the adhesive. The poster board is temporarily securable to a mounting surface by removing the peelable liner to expose the adhesive and pressing the adhesive against the mounting surface.

The method further includes the step of manually making non-soluble markings on the first surface to provide water-resistant markings on the first surface, and displaying the poster board in an environment having a significant likelihood of exposure to liquids.
