Abstract: A fluid treatment filtering cartridge having a permeable filtering element and a permeable high-pressure resistant woven tubular fabric external cover formed by a radial weaving loom process that does not use adhesives, thermal bonding or ultrasonic welding techniques is disclosed. The external high-pressure resistant woven cover is secured to end caps of the filter cartridge by adhesives, thermal bonding or ultrasonic welding and surrounds the filter media to form the exterior surface of the filter cartridge and provide both circumferential and longitudinal strength to the filter cartridge in order for it to withstand internal pressures exceeding 250 psi.
