The mobile frame (6) either follows rails on the frame (5), or rolls on this frame (5), the transverse movement being power controlled.

The present invention concerns an automatic reel loading system for winding apparatus. The system is composed of a reel diameter detector (4) operating just in front of the reel stand itself, a pulse generator (5) connecting the height detector (4) and to a central computer (6) comparing the number of pulses issued by the generator (5) to the number of pulses issued by a second pulse generator (7) driven by a gear working with the teeth of the periphery of the reel turnover plates (8) and thus determining the angular position of these turnover plates (8) and the position of the arms (9) and of the centering heads (10) fit at the free ends of these arms, until the latter heads are aligned with the axis of the reel core (11) so as to be seized by them, the arms (9) being guided by at least one guiding means (12) mainly composed of a rail which can be vertical or curved provided it helps the free end of the reel stand arm ( 9) reach a position where the centering heads (10) are perfectly aligned with the core of the new reel (11).

A machine for continuously unrolling, permitting simultaneous unrolling of two side-by-side or coaxial bobbins (1), comprises a chassis (2) on which are guided in rotation two plates (3) parallel to each other and connected by shafts (4 and 5) for the support and guidance of lateral bobbin-carrying arms (6) for the support and driving of bobbins (1), and an intermediate bobbin-carrying arm (7) for the simultaneous unrolling of two side-by-side or coaxial bobbins (1). The frame (2) is moreover provided with a device (8) for cutting and interconnecting ending strips and new bobbins. The intermediate bobbin-carrying arm (7) is articulated and retractable into a non-use position and the device (8) for cutting and connecting ending and new strips, comprises a device (12) for individual application of two ending strips, independently of each other, onto two new strips from bobbins that are side-by-side or coaxial, and for application of a single strip of great width to a single new bobbin (1), as well as a device (14) for cutting and connecting two strips individually and independently or a single strip of great width.
