    Abstract: A base station antenna comprises an array of radiating elements configured to emit electromagnetic radiation and an RF lens positioned to receive the electromagnetic radiation. The RF lens has a first surface facing the array of radiating elements and a second surface opposite the first surface. The RF lens is divided into a plurality of portions that extend from the first surface to the second surface, respectively, the plurality of portions having respective refractive indices for the electromagnetic radiation, wherein the plurality of portions are arranged, in a width direction of the RF lens, such that a first of the plurality of portions having the highest refractive index is in a middle portion of the radio frequency lens and others of the plurality of portions having lower refractive indices are on either side of the first of the plurality of portions.

    Abstract: A dipole antenna includes a feed line, first and second microstrip probes, a first signal transmission line coupled to the feed line and to the first microstrip probe, and a second signal transmission line coupled to the feed line and to the second microstrip probe. The first signal transmission line includes a first transmission line including a first signal conductor and a first ground conductor and a second transmission line including a second signal conductor and a second ground conductor. The first signal conductor is electrically coupled to the feed line and to the second ground conductor and the second signal conductor is electrically coupled to the first microstrip probe and the first ground conductor.

    Abstract: An antenna comprises an array of radiating elements including a first column located at a side portion of the antenna and a second column located at a middle portion of the antenna. A feed network for the antenna comprises a filter at least partially filtering out a signal within the first sub-band of an operating frequency band of the antenna, such that the signal strength of a first sub-component of the signal within the first sub-band for the first column is smaller than the signal strength of a second sub-component of the signal within the first sub-band for the second column, and the signal strength of a first sub-component of the signal within a second sub-band of the operating frequency band of the antenna for the first column is not smaller than the signal strength of a second sub-component of the signal within the second sub-band for the second column.

    Abstract: A base station antenna comprises two arrays of radiating elements each configured to emit electromagnetic radiation; two backplanes each configured to reflect respective electromagnetic radiation outwardly, wherein the two backplanes are positioned with a mechanical tilt relative to each other such that the respective electromagnetic radiation are directed in different directions in the azimuth plane; and two plate assemblies each configured to reflect a first portion of received electromagnetic radiation inwardly while allowing a second portion to pass outwardly through the respective plate assembly, where the two plate assemblies are positioned to form two Fabry-Perot cavities with the two backplanes, respectively.
