    Abstract: A high torque sprocket includes a body defining an outer periphery and a hub section defining an inner surface for engaging a bushing. A continuous toothed structure is disposed on the outer periphery of the body, and a textile reinforcement embedded in the body adjacent the inner surface of the hub section. The body is formed of a castable polymer material. In some cases, one or two optional flanges are disposed on side(s) of the body immediately adjacent the continuous toothed structure, in some aspects, a textile reinforcement may be embedded in a surface of the flange(s) immediately adjacent the continuous toothed structure. In some aspects, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is incorporated into the castable polymer material mixture in an amount suitable to provide increased durability to the sprocket.

    Abstract: A crop gathering belt includes a gathering belt carcass and a plurality of attachable lugs for connecting to the gathering belt carcass on a first side of the gathering belt carcass, and a system for securely attaching the lugs of the plurality of lugs, to the gathering belt carcass. The gathering belt carcass further includes a plurality of drive lugs disposed on a side opposite the first side of the gathering belt carcass. The crop gathering belt may be useful as a corn gathering belt. In some cases, the gathering belt carcass and the plurality of attachable lugs are formed of like rubber materials, while in some other cases, the gathering belt carcass and the plurality of attachable lugs are formed of dissimilar rubber materials. In yet other cases, the gathering belt carcass is formed of a rubber material, and the plurality of attachable lugs formed of a polyurethane material.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes a non-metal high torque sprocket and non-metal bushing. The non-metal high torque sprocket includes a body defining an outer periphery and a hub section defining an inner surface for engaging a bushing, a continuous toothed structure disposed on the outer periphery of the body, and a textile reinforcement embedded in the body adjacent the inner surface of the hub section, wherein the body is formed of a castable polymer material. The hub section inner surface is a tapered shape, and is adapted to engage a conventional QD bushing or a taper-lock bushing. The non-metal bushing is engageable by the hub section inner surface of the high torque sprocket. The non-metal bushing may be formed of a castable polymer material, which may optionally include ultra-high molecular weight powder. According to some embodiments, the non-metal bushing is a QD bushing.

    Abstract: A high torque sprocket includes a body formed of a castable polymer material defining an outer periphery and a recessed hub section defining an inner surface for engaging a bushing having a smooth circular outer surface and at least one threaded port for securing with the high torque sprocket. A continuous toothed structure is disposed on the outer periphery of the body, which has a circular pitch. A textile reinforcement may be embedded in the body adjacent the inner surface of the hub section. The hub section inner surface is of a tapered shape and adapted to engage a conventional QD bushing or a taper-lock bushing. The continuous toothed structure may have a plurality of S-shaped grooves for engaging a belt and having a groove width, and the ratio of the groove width to the circular pitch may be 0.65 or less, or even a value selected from the range of 0.50 to 0.65.
