摘要： A foldable stroller has a frame assembly reconfigurable between an in-use configuration and a folded configuration. The frame assembly has a left and a right frame side and each frame side includes an elongate bottom part having a front end and a back end. Each bottom part is oriented extending generally from a front to a back of the frame assembly. A fold latch is on the frame assembly and has two latch parts pivotally coupled to one another. A push arm has a lower end connected to one of the latch parts and extends upward and rearward to a handle. A front leg has a lower end pivotally coupled to a front end of the bottom part and extends upward and rearward to an upper end connected to the other of the latch parts. A support strut has an upper end pivotally coupled to the fold latch at a pivot axis and has a lower end pivotally coupled to the bottom part forward of the back end at a pivot connection. The pivot connection of the support strut in one example is positioned further forward than the pivot axis. The support strut in one example is positioned outboard relative to the bottom part.

摘要： A stroller having a novel frame geometry that provides a more direct structural tie between the front and the rear wheels. The two rear legs (bottom members) of the frame are disposed at a relatively small angle to the horizontal and remain close to that shallow angle as the stroller is folded, with all four wheels on the ground. The rear leg assembly is pivotally linked to the front leg assembly, so that the front leg assembly collapses onto the rear leg assembly when the stroller is folded. The front legs and the rear legs preferably have a similar profile so that they generally nest when folded. The front legs and the rear legs preferably have oval or oblong cross-sections, which enhances their vertical load strength.

Each of the left and right sides has an elongate bottom part and each bottom part has a front end and a back end. A back wheel is supported for rotation at the back end of each of the bottom parts. Each of the left and right sides has a front leg with a lower end pivotally connected to the front end of the respective bottom part. Each front leg extends upward from the bottom part and rearward toward the back of the frame assembly and terminates at an upper end. Each of the left and right sides also has a push arm pivotally coupled relative to the upper end of the respective front leg. Each push arm extends upward and rearward from the upper end of the respective front leg. Each of the left and right sides further has a support strut with a lower end pivotally connected to the respective bottom part at a pivot location between the front and back end of the bottom part. Each support strut terminates at an upper end in proximity to the respective front leg or the respective push arm. Each bottom part has a portion rearward of the pivot location of the support strut. The elongate bottom parts between the pivot locations and the respective front ends are curved. When the frame assembly is in the in-use configuration, the bottom parts are each curved upward from the pivot location to the front end.

The second knuckle member is rotatable relative to the first knuckle member so that a plurality of angular positions can be established between the first and second knuckle members. First and second cable slack absorption members, such as pulleys, are disposed on the first knuckle member in first and second predetermined positions. The first and second cable slack absorption members are located and dimensioned so that a cable, passing from the first cable guide to the second cable guide, wraps thereon when an angle between the first knuckle member and the second knuckle member changes from a first angle, at which the cable passes between the first and second cable absorption members with a minimum of deflection by either of the first and second cable absorption members, to a second angle.

Upon removal of the application of downward force, the basket frame can remain in the second, access position.
