WHEREIN R1 is a lower alkyl and R2 is hydrogen or an alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl hydrocarbon radical, are useful in the production of polymers and copolymers. Compositions containing these polymers and copolymers when combined with the proper filler have outstanding stain resistance as well as excellent impact resistance and other strength properties when compared with prior art compositions recognized as outstanding for use in dinnerware.

摘要： Compositions comprising diallyl carbonate polymers and at least a primary filler such as alpha cellulose, glass fibers, polyester fibers, and mixtures thereof have better stain resistance and better impact resistance and other strength properties than prior art compositions recognized as outstanding for use in dinnerware. The compositions can also contain such secondary fillers as clay, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, silica powder and the like. They also have excellent hardness and resistance to chemical attack by alkali and detergents and have excellent hightemperature properties.
