Abstract: A packet transmission device transmits data packets to a packet receiving device using a first communication link and a second communication link with a smaller communication area than the first communication link. The device determines the communication status of the second communication link, sets either one of the first or second communication link as a main communication link and the other as a sub communication link, based on the determination results, generates instructions to transmit main data packets on the main communication link and sub data packets with bandwidth limitation on the sub communication link, transmit the main data packets or the sub data packets via the first communication link based on the instructions, and transmits the sub data packets or the main data packets via the second communication link based on the instructions.

Abstract: In a communication apparatus, a buffer offset calculator calculates a buffer offset for a transmission-ready state k-th communication unit in accordance with a total number of at least one of data packets that is (i) transmittable by at least one m-th communication unit in the N communication units except for the k-th communication unit and (ii) completely received by the recipient device within a data transmission period of the communication network corresponding to the k-th communication unit (m is each of variables 1 to N except for k). A data packet allocator selects, in a queue of the data packets stored in the transmission buffer, one of the data packets, a beginning of the selected data packet being located offset by the buffer offset relative to a beginning of the queue of the data packets. The data packet allocator allocates the selected data packet to the k-th communication unit.

Abstract: A data transfer path calculation device includes: a travel plan acquisition section that acquires a travel plan composed of routes on which vehicles are estimated to travel and passage times at which the vehicles are estimated to pass through points on the routes; a communication environment acquisition section that, for each of wireless base stations, acquires communication environment information indicating a communication environment for communicating with the corresponding one of the wireless base stations at points; and a transfer path calculation section that searches for a data transfer path based on the travel plan and the communication environment information, the data transfer path being a path through which data sequentially passes, among the vehicles, from an acquisition vehicle through one or more relay vehicles by inter-vehicle communication and from a last relay vehicle among the relay vehicles, the data finally reaching a server via one of the wireless base stations.

Abstract: An information intermediating apparatus in an information transaction system including an information providing apparatus, an information acquiring apparatus and the information intermediating apparatus connected to a communication network, includes: a first receiver that receives second information, of first and second information necessary for restoring transaction object information, and first feature information indicating a feature of the first information; a second receiver that receives second feature information from the information acquiring apparatus, the second feature information being calculated from the first information transmitted to the information acquiring apparatus from the information providing apparatus; a feature information determination unit that determines whether an identity is present between the first feature information and the second feature information; and a transmitter that transmits the second information to the information acquiring apparatus, when the feature information determination unit determines that the identity is present between the first feature information and the second feature information.
