    Abstract: A valve device includes: a ball valve having a ball face shaped in a convex spherical surface; and a valve seat having a seat face shaped in a concave spherical surface. The seat face is pressed onto the ball face. The ball valve is rotated to open a valve by communicating a valve opening defined in the ball valve and a seat opening defined in the valve seat with each other, and to close the valve by stop the communication. A diameter of the seat opening ϕ2 is smaller than a diameter of the valve opening ϕ1. A curvature radius of the ball face R1 is smaller than or equal to a curvature radius of the seat face is R2.

    Abstract: A rotative member has a first passage and a first surface. A tubular member has a second passage and a concave spherical surface. The second passage is communicable with the first passage according to a rotation angle of the rotative member. The rotative member is rotatable and slidable on the concave spherical surface to form a seal between the rotative member and the tubular member when the concave spherical surface is in pressure contact with the first surface on application of a biasing force. A biasing force application member applies the biasing force to the tubular member. The biasing force application member has a second surface, which is in contact with the tubular member and slidable relative to the tubular member.

    Abstract: A passage forming portion has a first opening of a first passage. A valve element has a second passage of a second opening and a slidable surface slidable relative to an opening periphery of the first opening. The valve element rotates to increase an overlap region, in which the first opening overlaps with the second opening, to communicate the first passage with the second passage to increase a flow quantity of fluid between the first passage and the second passage. A flow quantity retention unit is equipped in the valve element to retain the flow quantity constantly regardless of a rotation angle in a range from an angle, at which the slidable surface starts to open the first opening, to a predetermined rotation angle.
