Abstract: An axial gap type rotary electric machine includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor has a support plate and a permanent magnet disposed on the support plate. The support plate includes an inner core. The inner core includes a plurality of vertical walls. The plurality of vertical walls are disposed in a radial shape. The plurality of vertical walls are disposed in a rotationally symmetrical with respect to a central axis. The plurality of vertical walls are positioned behind the permanent magnet. The plurality of vertical walls function as members that resist axial force and radial force acting on the permanent magnet.

Abstract: A rotor includes a magnet unit, a magnet holder, a fixing block, and a magnet fixing tool. The magnet holder includes a holder main body, an outer peripheral engagement portion, and a holder receiving portion. The magnet unit has an inner peripheral tapered surface and an outer peripheral tapered surface. In the magnet unit, the outer peripheral tapered surface is in a state of being caught by the outer peripheral engagement portion. The inner peripheral tapered surface is inclined with respect to the motor axis to face an axial gap. The inner peripheral tapered surface is caught by the fixing block. In the fixing block, the block tapered surface is in a state of being overlapped with the inner peripheral tapered surface.
