Abstract: A bag closer having V-belts gripping and carrying the bag into a separable gathering pocket and against a length of twistable strand and then releasing the bag; pushers compacting the gathered bag neck and moving the gathered bag neck through the separable pocket and against and past a flipper which swings the trailing ends of the strand into a continuously revolving twister hook which twists the strand ends together while the bag neck continues to move along a linear path.
