摘要: The present invention describes a medical implant for treating pathological obesity, which is adapted to modify and, as an alternative, to bypass the natural food passage in the digestive tract. In contrast to purely surgical methods of food bypassing, the properties of the present implant permit an adjustable bypassing of food into the small intestine and/or into the stomach (natural digestive path). Since the ratio of this bypass is adjustable in the course of the treatment by the physician, e.g. with the aid of an endoscope, for the first time a balance between the therapeutic effect and the side-effects can be adapted individually to each patient by the use of the implant. The present invention is a hollow body 1 comprising a first and a second tubular end portion 2, 3 and at least one third lateral opening having a hose-like extension 8. It is provided that individual, at least partly closable hose-like extensions 8 differ in their ability to allow the passage of food into the stomach 11. The possibility to close individual hose-like extensions 8 at least partially by means of an endoscope leads to an individually adjustable distribution of food between the stomach 11 and the small-intestine loop 12.

摘要: The ability of a person to grasp an object and at the same time to feel, as well as to determine mechanical and geometric parameters of the comprehended object, makes him or her irreplaceable for many tasks, i.e. in production or in surgery. The translation of this ability into a technological system has often failed up to now due to lack of special adjusted sensors. The object of this invention is a sensory device, which fulfills the requirements for a tactile sensor system and at the same time affords a cost-effective and simple manufacturing alternative to other sensor principles. The layer structure of the sensor element is so constructed that by effect of an external force of the current by a resistive layer a path is disposed to narrowing or enlargement. The voltage drop over this resistive layer is dependent upon the acting external force and serves as signal sensor.

摘要: An insertion aid for medical instruments includes a shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, and a bending part, and a tension element for actuating the bending part. The bending part includes structures which allow a bending in at least one desired direction different from an extension direction of the shaft. The shaft further comprises an outer tube element and an inner tube element supported in the outer tube element so as to be axially movable. The tension element is hinged to one of the inner and outer tube elements and the bending part is provided at a distal end of the other of the inner and outer tube elements.

摘要: A closing system is described and a correspondingly suitable method for the selective opening and closing of a tubular body organ, comprising a closing element and a regulating system controlling the closing element. Furthermore described are a method and a system for the electronic control of an artificial fine-sensory sphincter implant, with at least one sensor signal or, respectively, sensor value acting—in the method or, respectively, in the system—analog to the difference between the internal bladder pressure and the cuff pressure, and being converted in an analog or digital electronic circuit by means of calculator and comparator functions or, respectively, calculator and comparator elements and being compared with reference values such that an actuator system will be controlled such that the cuff pressure or, respectively, the differential pressure between cuff and urinary bladder moves either in a low area limited by two threshold values or above a specific safety pressure or below that in case of miction.
