Abstract: A meter socket bypass disconnect device for disconnecting service using a bypass meter socket. The meter socket bypass disconnect device includes a housing, a disconnect system for interfacing with a meter socket, an indication system for indicating power phase and load status, and a switching system for moving the meter socket bypass disconnect device between an open load position and a closed load position. The disconnect system is further adapted to make load and break load on a bypass meter socket without the use of the meter bypass lever. The disconnect system, indication system, and switching system are containable or partially containable within the housing.

Abstract: A flat bed is designed for demountable attachment to the fifth wheel assembly of a conventional tractor, without modification of the tractor. The flat bed includes framing members and internal support members sandwiched between a top and bottom plate which are all welded together. A centrally disposed kingpin lockingly engages the fifth wheel assembly of the tractor while chains connecting the bed frame to the chassis of the tractor stabilize the bed against the pivoting and rocking motion. Sockets disposed along the sides of the frame can receive side rail fences or tie down straps to secure the load on the bed.
