    摘要： A composition comprising a potassium salt of N′-hydroxy-N-cyclohexyldiazenium oxide (KHDO) and a diluent is useful for killing fungi. Such a composition but which additionally includes at least one of certain other fungicidally active components is useful for combating microorganisms in general. Such other fungicidally active component is selected from: alcohols, isothiazolones, activated halogen compounds, formaldehyde release compounds, phenolic compounds, aldehydes, acids and esters, biphenyls, urea derivatives, O-acetals, O-formals, N-acetals, N-formals, benzamidines, phthalimides, pyridine derivatives, quaternary ammonium and phosphonium compounds, amines, amphoteric compounds, dithiocarbamates, compounds containing active oxygen and mixtures of any of these.

    摘要： A method of reducing the level of bacteria and viruses in a volume of water during aquaculture comprises: (a) providing the volume of water to be stocked with farmed aquatic organisms or eggs thereof; (b) prior to the stocking, introducing into the water an aqueous solution of glutaraldehyde in an amount such as to provide in the water from 0.1 to 2 ppm of glutaraldehyde; (c) stocking the water with the farmed aquatic organisms or eggs thereof at a time when the concentration of glutaraldehyde is 0.1 to 2 ppm. (d) allowing the farmed aquatic organisms or eggs thereof to grow; and (e) optionally during a period of the growth, introducing into the water at least one further portion of an aqueous solution of glutaraldehyde in an amount such as to maintain the concentration of the glutaraldehyde at 0.1 to 2 ppm.

    摘要： A method for describing objects in a virtual space. In one embodiment, each object is a URL, which has been assigned to a system of hierarchical categories. The objects have been mapped to a map region, each object having been given a location within the map region. Each category within the map region is defined as a polygon area covering all of the category's objects as well as all of the category's subcategories. A client computer can request a portion of the map to be visualized. A host computer receives the request and retrieves the appropriate objects and categories from a database. The host computer forms the response to the request using a protocol which describes facts, location, and metadata about the objects and categories. The encoded response is delivered to the client. The client decodes the response and renders the objects and categories for the user. Different types of clients can concurrently request object descriptions from the server.
