    摘要: A ramp assembly includes a ramp portion configured for reciprocating motion between a stowed position, a deployed position, and a neutral position. The ramp assembly further includes a counterbalance that provides a force to bias the ramp portion toward the stowed position when the ramp portion is between the deployed position and the neutral position, and toward the deployed position when the ramp portion is between the stowed position and the neutral position. A shaft rotates in a first direction when the ramp portion moves toward the stowed position, and in a second direction opposite the first direction when the ramp portion moves toward the deployed position. A crank is fixedly coupled to the shaft. A rod is rotatably coupled at a first end to the crank about a first axis and at a second end to a cylinder. The cylinder is coupled for rotational movement about a second axis.

    摘要: A platform-type wheelchair lift for mounting in the stairwell of a vehicle, such as a bus or train. The wheelchair lift includes a platform frame that is movable from a retracted position in which it is stowed underneath the vehicle to an extended position in which it extends out from the side or back of the vehicle. A wheelchair platform is movably coupled to the platform frame by a parallelogram linkage that allows the wheelchair platform to move between a lowered and a raised position. The wheelchair platform includes foldable outer and inner wheelchair barriers that prevent a wheelchair from moving off of the wheelchair platform during operation of the wheelchair lift. The wheelchair platform also includes a mechanical platform interlock mechanism. The platform interlock mechanism is moveable between an unlocked and a locked position. The platform interlock mechanism is in an unlocked position when no weight is placed on the wheelchair platform. In the unlocked position, the platform interlock mechanism allows the outer barrier to move between an upright barrier position, and a retracted position in which the barrier lies adjacent an upper surface of the wheelchair platform. When a weight such as a person or wheelchair is located on the wheelchair platform, the platform interlock mechanism moves into a locked position in which the outer barrier is prevented from moving between the upright position and the retracted position.

    摘要: A method and system for suppressing or otherwise controlling the display of unrequested content while transitioning between first content and second content available over a communications system, such as the Internet, is disclosed. The system includes a browser device in communication with a host server and adapted to establish communication with a plurality of publishers to receive and display electronically published content, responsive to user inputs. The host server includes software with a controller and an override. Upon display of first content from a publisher and selection of second content, the controller is adapted to selectively display a default transition having intermediate content to the user prior to displaying the second content. The override is in communication with the controller and is adapted to direct the display of a defined transition to the user upon actuation, and thereby suppress the display of the default transition if the default transition is different from the defined transition.

The counterbalance includes a compression spring and an engagement fitting associated with a first end of the spring. A first bearing element is operably coupled to the ramp portion so that movement of the ramp portion from the neutral position toward the stowed position engages the first bearing element with the engagement fitting to move the first end of the spring toward a second end of the spring. A second bearing element is operably coupled to the ramp portions of that movement of the ramp portion from the neutral position toward the deployed position engages the second bearing element with the engagement fitting to move the first end of the spring toward the second end of the spring.

A compression spring is disposed between the spring fitting and a portion of the restraint so that the compression spring provides a force to bias the ramp portion toward the neutral position.
