摘要： A low pressure mercury vapor fluorescent lamp includes a lamp vessel having a mercury protective coating on the inner surface of the lamp envelope and a halophosphate phosphor layer. The lamp has a discharge sustaining filling including mercury and a rare gas. The level of mercury is selected such that the lamp has a standard average lamp life of about 20,000 hours while passing the Environmental Protection Agency's Toxicity Characteristic Leachate Procedure (TCLP) test and the State of California's Waste Extraction Test (WET).

摘要： The invention relates to a discharge lamp, comprising a light-transmissive discharge vessel (2) filled with an ionisable substance (3), and at least two electrodes (4) connected to said vessel, between which electrodes a discharge extends during lamp operation, wherein at least one electrode is adapted for capacitive coupling of HF electrical energy to said ionisable substance, and is characterised in that said discharge vessel part which comprises said capacitive electrode is shaped such that it has an increased surface area with respect to the remaining part of the discharge vessel. The invention also relates to a backlight module for backlighting a display device comprising at least one discharge lamp according to the invention. The invention further relates to a display device provided with at least one backlight module according to the invention.

摘要： A low-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp is provided with a discharge vessel which encloses a discharge space including a filling of mercury and a rare gas in a gastight manner. The discharge vessel further includes an amalgam which communicates with the discharge space. The lamp has a discharge device for maintaining an electric discharge in the discharge vessel. The amalgam includes a bismuth-tin-indium compound having a bismuth (Bi) content in the range between 30≦Bi≦70 wt. %, a tin (Sn) content in the range between 25≦Sn≦67 wt. %, and an indium (In) content in the range between 3≦In ≦5 wt. %.
