摘要： A appliance (100) having a receiver (324) capable of receiving and a decoder (314) capable of decoding a time signal (400) into a time value. A clock (308) in the appliance (100) is updated or set with the received time value and an indicator (104) is activated to notify consumers that time synchronization to a time signal has occurred. The decoder (314) from the decoded time signal (400) is able to identify leap years and changes to and from daylight savings time.
