摘要： A coaxial cable connector includes a bonding block lug for receiving a grounding wire. The connector includes a body portion for receiving the end of a cable, a nut for securing the connector to a mating coaxial port, a post extending within the body portion for extending into the cable, a lug secured to the body portion and having a first hole for receiving the grounding wire, and a clamp element for clamping the grounding wire within the lug. The lug may include a second hole that intersects the first hole. The clamp element may be a set screw, press-fit pin, or the like extending within the second hole for selectively engaging the grounding wire. The set screw may incorporate security features to prevent removal of the grounding wire. The bonding block lug can be incorporated within a variety of connectors, including axially-compressed connectors.

摘要： A connector for coaxial cable is disclosed herein that has an outer body and a clamp insert. The clamp insert is mounted at the rear of the body and accepts an end of a coaxial cable. Both the front and rear ends of the insert are deformed radially inwardly when the body and the insert and compressed so as to grip the coaxial cable and form a seal. A related method for connecting the coaxial cable and connector is also disclosed.

A connector, comprised of connector components, is also disclosed. The method comprises placing connector components into contact with the cable before the connector components are assembled into a connector. The connector is assembled simultaneously with securing the connector to the cable to make a coaxial cable assembly. A method of preparing coaxial cable in a manner suitable for making coaxial cable assemblies is also disclosed. The coaxial cable assembly can be a jumper, or a lead.
