The at least one sensor array includes a plurality of sensors and a plurality of fasteners. The at least one sensor array is configured to be attached to a tank by the plurality of fasteners. The tank monitoring computer device is in communication with the at least one sensor array. The tank monitoring computer device is programmed to a) receive a plurality of sensor readings from the plurality of sensors associated with the at least one sensor array, b) calculate a first tank level using a first method, c) calculate a second tank level using a second method, d) compare the first tank level to the second tank level to determine a final tank level, and e) report the final tank level.
Abstract:
A control system for a gas powered appliance includes a power source to provide electrical power to control at least one electrically actuated gas valve, a valve control system to selectively couple electrical power from the power source to the electrically actuated gas valve, and a controller. The valve control system includes a first switch and a second switch. The first switch and the second switch are electrically connected in series between the power source and the electrically actuated gas valve. The controller is operatively connected to the first switch and the second switch and configured to control the first switch and the second switch to selectively couple power from the power source to the electrically actuated gas valve.

A control system for controlling a gas powered water heater includes a power system to provide electrical power, a valve control system to selectively hold a main gas valve in an open position, a valve pick system to selectively pick the main gas valve from a closed position to the open position, a safety system to prevent the valve control system from holding the main gas valve in the open position, and a controller. The controller is electrically powered by the power system and communicatively coupled to the valve control system, the valve pick system, and the safety system. The controller is configured to control operation of the main burner and the main gas valve using the valve control system, the valve pick system, and the safety system to provide water heated to substantially a set point temperature.
Abstract:
A water heater includes an electrical junction box that receives a voltage supply. The electrical junction box includes at least one cover plate for providing access to an internal portion of the water heater. The voltage supply passes through the at least one cover plate and connects to internal wiring of the water heater. A method for providing a control module on the water heater includes routing service wiring for providing the voltage supply to the water heater into an electrical connection portion of the control module, routing the internal wiring of the water heater into the electrical connection portion of the control module, and connecting the service wiring to the internal wiring of the water heater within the electrical connection portion of the control module.

A system and method of operating a water heater controller that includes a powered vent electronic control circuit including a controller configured to control an operation of heating device having a powered draft inducer, a gas valve assembly configured to control a flow of a fuel gas to a burner of a heating device, and a switch assembly including a switch in each leg of a plurality of legs of a power supply to the gas valve assembly, the switch assembly configured to supply power and a return to the gas valve assembly in a first position and to open the plurality of legs of the power supply to the gas valve assembly in a second position, the switch assembly configured to indicate a position of the switch assembly to the controller.
Abstract:
A valve system includes a motor, a first valve, a second valve, and a controller. The first valve is connected to the motor shaft and is rotatable to an open position, in which fluid flows through a first channel, and a close position, in which fluid is prevented from flowing through the first channel. The second valve is connected to the motor shaft and is rotatable to an open position, in which fluid flows through a second channel from a first end to a second end, and to a close position, in which fluid is prevented from flowing through the second channel. The controller is connected to the motor and can sequentially actuate the first valve and the second valve to create at least a first, second, third, and fourth position.
