Abstract: A template is provided for laying out cut lines for mats utilized in framing prints, stamps and the like. The template's outer dimension provides the outer dimension of the mat and a plurality of precisionly located holes are utilized to place marks on the mat, which marks are connected by lines which intersect with the matting being cut out along the intersecting lines to the intersection of the lines.
