    摘要: Two strap members are respectively connectable with a seat member and a backrest member and are joined for relative pivoting movement. An inner and a cooperating outer gear annulus are provided on the respective strap members in engagement with one another. A brake sleeve is provided on one of the strap members and a helical spring is located within the brake sleeve and normally frictionally engages an inner surface thereof. The spring has two inwardly angled end portions. An output member is turnably mounted within the sleeve and has a first section extending between the end portions of the spring, and a turnable control member is adjacent the output member and has a second section also extending between the end portions. A torsion spring engages the input and control members and urges the sections thereof into engagement with the respective end portions of the helical spring.

    摘要: An upholstery support for the back rest of a vehicle seat, particularly a motor vehicle seat, is disclosed. The support comprises two half-shells connected with each other along at least a portion of their edges and form two hollow box-like arms (4) which extend downward from an upper area (3) of the upholstery support, whereby at least in one of the two half-shells (2) troughs (b 6, 7, 10) are provided, the troughs (6, 7) follow two lines that cross in the upper area and end at a distance from the crossing point. Adjacent to the crossing point, the ends of at least two of the troughs (6, 7) are connected with each other by a connecting element (13) which has a trough-like central zone between two edge zones adjacent to the half-shell (1) and securely connected therewith, which central zone bridges and stiffens the trough-less intermediate space between the trough ends to be connected with each other.

    摘要: A seat has a seat element and a back element which is to be tiltable forwardly and rearwardly relative to the seat element. Two hinges are provided at the opposite sides of the seat and each includes a first hinge member on the seat element and a cooperating second hinge member on the back element. Each hinge has an arrangement which connects the first and second hinge members thereof for relative pivoting and which includes a first gear turnable with one of the hinge members and a second gear turnable with the other hinge member, the two gears having cooperating annuli of gear teeth which mesh with one another. One of the gears can be disengaged from its associated hinge member so that the latter can turn freely relative to this gear. The arrangement for this purpose includes a first abutment system which normally connects the gear to the associated hinge member, and a second abutment system which also normally connects the gear to the associated hinge member. One operating arrangement permits the first abutment system to be disengaged so as to permit the associated hinge member and hence the back element to pivot forwardly and another operating device permits the second abutment system to be disengaged to permit rearward tilting of the back element.

    摘要: A knob is used on an adjustment member rotatable about an axis and having a periphery formed with a plurality of radially outwardly open recesses. This member may be the adjustment member of a motor-vehicle seat-angle adjuster. The knob comprises an annular collar closely surrounding the periphery of the adjustment member, a plurality of entrainment formations projecting inwardly from the collar into every other recess, and a plurality of hooks each engaging axially through the remaining recesses with the member. The hooks and the formations together transmit angular force between the member and the knob which is made of synthetic-resin material as one integral piece.
