Abstract: A transmitter for estimating a variable frame structure using preamble signals is provided, and the transmitter includes a subcarrier location modulator configured to modulate locations of subcarriers into predetermined locations based on information about a variable frame structure in an attempt to transmit preamble signals; and an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) unit configured to perform IFFT on the preambles carried on the subcarriers of which locations are modulated and wirelessly transmit the preamble signals on which IFFT has been performed.
