摘要： Methods, systems and articles of manufacture for browsing heterogeneous map data are described herein. A method embodiment includes displaying a plurality of homogeneous images, each image representing a geographic information system (GIS) dataset comprising one or more map assets an enabling browsing of GIS datasets and map assets using said displayed images independent of underlying data formats of said GIS datasets. A system embodiment includes a map data engine configured to receive a plurality of homogeneous images, each image representing a GIS dataset comprising one or more map assets, and a user interface configured to display said images and enable browsing of GIS datasets and map assets using said displayed images independent of underlying data formats of said GIS datasets.
