摘要: A vibration isolator is disclosed having a housing which defines a fluid chamber. A piston, which is movable to and from a down position, is disposed within the housing. A vibration isolation fluid is disposed within the fluid chamber. A passage having a predetermined diameter extends through the piston to permit the vibration isolation fluid to flow from one fluid chamber to the other. An elastic element is provided for reducing transmission of vibrations from the piston to the housing when the piston is at the down position.

摘要: A handheld controller is for remotely controlling a mobile gaming unit, such as a remote-controlled car. The controller includes a housing having a longitudinal axis, a first controlling mechanism, such as a trigger, for controlling speed and direction of the mobile gaming unit and, a second controlling mechanism including a wheel member for controlling the steering of the mobile gaming unit. In order to provide an ergonomic gripping position, the wheel member is disposed at an angle between about 20 degrees and about 70 degrees, and preferably about 45 degrees, with respect to the longitudinal axis of the housing. The second control mechanism may be set-up in either of a right-handed or left-handed configuration, without requiring a separate intermediate extension member between the second controlling mechanism and the housing. An adjustable display which is pivotal with respect to the housing in order to provide a variable viewing orientation thereof, is also disclosed.

摘要: An elastomeric spring-damper has a one-piece tubular body having an integral cap. A tension stop flange is formed in the body near the cap portion, and a compression stop flange opposing the tension stop flange is formed on the cap portion. An inner member located within the body is coupled to the body with an annular elastomeric member, such that longitudinal motion of the inner member relative to the body is allowed through elastic deformation of the elastomeric member. An inner member stop flange is positioned between the compression stop flange and the tension stop flange to limit longitudinal motion of the inner member relative to the body.

摘要: An assembly for providing flexure to a blade of a rotary blade system, the assembly including an upper support plate having an upper curved surface, a lower support plate having a lower curved surface, and a yoke positioned therebetween. At least one of the upper and lower yoke surfaces having a layer of cushioning material positioned thereon and secured thereto. The layer of cushioning material extending along and following the general contour of yoke surface, and the layer of cushioning material directly contacting a support plate. Another embodiment is an assembly for providing flexure to a blade of a rotary blade system, including, an upper support plate having an upper curved surface, a lower support plate having a lower curved surface, and a yoke positioned therebetween and directly contacting the support plates wherein one of the curved surfaces is a non-circular arc that does not form part of the circumference of a circle.

摘要: A multi-bladed tail rotor assembly is disclosed that provides higher aerodynamic performance, damage tolerant design with 10,000-hour life expectancy, and which requires low maintenance through the use of composites and elastomerics. The tail rotor hub assembly includes two stacked yoke assemblies having multi-bladed teetering rotors, each mounted on a single drive mast. Each yoke assembly includes a yoke hub having a transverse bore therethrough, a bearing assembly disposed within the bore, and retention means for aligning and securing the bearing assembly within the bore. Each bearing assembly includes a trunnion portion having trunnion arms that extend outwardly from a trunnion body portion, and an elastomeric bearing disposed about each trunnion arm. The tail rotor assembly utilizes a composite twist strap flexure to accommodate collective pitch control integral with each rotor blade.
