摘要： Basic azo dyes useful for dyeing or printing polymeric material have the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkanoylamino,R.sup.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or a radical of the formula CO-X, andX is hydroxyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, amino, mono- or di(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl)amino or a radical of the formula ##STR2## where n is 0 or 1,R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are hydrogen or substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl,R.sup.6 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl,L is C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkylene, andAn.sup..crclbar. is one equivalent of an anion,with the proviso that at least one basic or quaternary radical is present in the molecule.
