Abstract:
A tine bar of a pick-up unit for harvested agricultural material. The tine bar includes a tine bar housing having a housing cover with recesses for receiving tines. The recesses are adapted to permit end segments of the tines to extend outward from the housing. A plurality of tines that are attached to the tine bar housing, wherein each tine includes an end segment, and at least one end segment extends outward through one of the recesses in the housing cover.
Abstract:
A crop take-up assembly having a rotatable take-up rotor with tines mounted thereon. A first guide assembly encloses the tines in an upper, forward and lower region, and defines a first set of guide tracks in which the tines are guided along a curved path. A second guide assembly encloses the tines in a rear region. The second guide assembly guides the tines into the first set of guide tracks during a reversal of rotation of the take-up rotor.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a pick-up (10) with a frame (12), with at least one tine carrier (26) that can be moved relative to the frame (12), with tines (14) that are fastened on the tine carrier (26) and with strippers (30) that are arranged adjacent to one another transverse to the forward direction (V) and between which are formed intermediate spaces (28) through which the tines (14) extend outward and along which the tines (14) can be moved, wherein the strippers (30) feature a first end that is detachably fastened on the frame (12) and a second end that is detachably fastened on the frame (12), and wherein the strippers (30) are connected to the frame (12) at the first end by means of two form-fitting connections (56, 62, 38, 58).It is proposed that the strippers (30) be inherently rigid and respectively connected to the frame (12) at their second end by means of a force-fitting connection.
Abstract:
The crop take-up arrangement includes a take-up rotor having several tine carriers with tines fastened to it that can be moved along a circular track, supported, free to rotate, about their axes of rotation. A housing contains the take-up rotor with strippers between which elongated intervening spaces remain through which the radially outer regions of the tines extend outward over a part of the circular track of the tine carriers. A drive shaft can be driven in two directions of rotation to drive the tine carriers around the circular track. It is proposed that the tine carriers be supported in bearings so as to pivot about their longitudinal axes between two end positions and be able to move between the end position as a function of the direction of rotation of the drive shaft.
Abstract:
A large round baler includes a pick-up which delivers crop to a transport assembly including a guide wall and tined rotor, together with a rotor stripper, which cooperate to move harvest material from the pick-up to the inlet of a baling chamber. Various embodiments are disclosed for moving one or more of the guide wall, rotor or stripper for effecting adjustments narrowing or expanding the cross section of a guide channel for the harvest material defined in part by the guide wall, rotor and stripper. These adjustments can be done manually or with power and can be made in response to computer generated information or command signals resulting from collected and/or stored data indicating various conditions of the harvested material.
Abstract:
A baler pick-up includes a pair of support wheels, each of which is connected to the pick-up by a mounting arrangement permitting the wheel to be selectively moved from a working position outboard of the pick-up to an inboard, elevated transport or non-working position. Each mounting arrangement comprises a holder fixed to the pick-up and including a transverse pipe and a projection formed from a plate and spaced outwardly from and end of the pipe. The arrangement further comprises a wheel mounting bracket including a cylindrical tube pivotally and slidably received in the pipe and in a hole provided in the projection, the tube carrying a ring captured between the end of the pipe and the projection and containing a throughbore aligned with one of a pair of crossbores provided in the tube and receiving a linchpin bolt for retaining the wheel mounting bracket so as to dispose the wheel in a selected one of its positions.

Abstract:
An agricultural machine, such as a self-propelled harvester, includes an attachment that is removably mounted to the machine. A transport device is adapted to be removably mounted onto the attachment to support the attachment during road transport of the machine. A receiving assembly, mounted on the machine, receives the transport device and supports the transport device when it is removed from the attachment for harvesting operations.
