摘要： A circular knitting machine for men's socks with needles on the dial comprising a dial needles selector mechanism able to selectively move the dial needles to involve the selected needles in the formation of the stitches and to exclude the needles not selected. In addition the machine is able to repeatedly perform transfer of the stitch from the cylinder to the dial. Moreover, the machine is fitted with a mechanical traction mechanism for tensioning the sock being formed. In addition, the machine presents expedients to limit the deformation of the selector rods and reduce detrimental effects on the actuator or flaws in the formation of the stitch.

At least one of the laminar elements composing a knitting retainer has a retention portion defining a stop shoulder for the knitting. Each knitting retainer can move on command from a first position, in which it does not interfere with the knitting being formed, to a second position, in which it is inserted, with the retention portion, between two contiguous needles, in a region which faces the knitting forming plane, in order to retain the portion of knitting that lies between two contiguous needles.

The cams comprise at least one extraction cam or one retraction cam, which has a portion whose profile is inclined with respect to an ideal plane perpendicular to the axis of the needle cylinder. The machine comprises extraction means causing extraction of the movable heel and keeping thereof in extracted position over the entire extension of the portion having an inclined profile of the extraction cam or of the retraction cam.
