Abstract: Polymer-nanocarbon composites, fiber-reinforced polymer composites, carbon matrix-nanocarbon composites, fiber-reinforced carbon matrix-nanocarbon composites, and methods for their manufacture are provided. The composites comprise one or more nanocarbon materials, optionally comprise fibers, and are produced from one or more polymers containing aromatic hydrocarbon moieties and/or aromatic heterocyclic moieties. The composite matrices may comprise thermoplastics or thermosets and may find use in, for example, infrastructure applications.
