摘要: Provided is a metal-air battery and a method of using the same that make it possible to simplify replacement work while also sustaining high output effectively. The metal-air battery of the present invention comprises a cell unit provided with a plurality of metal-air battery cells in parallel, each metal-air battery cell being configured to include a metal electrode, an air electrode disposed facing the metal electrode, and a housing that supports the metal electrode and the air electrode. The metal-air battery also comprises handles for example that act as a first replacing means enabling the replacement of the entire cell unit. With this arrangement, it is possible to simplify replacement work while also sustaining high output effectively.

A metal-air battery according to the present invention comprises a metal-air battery unit provided with a plurality of metal-air battery cells in parallel, each metal-air battery cell being configured to include a metal electrode, air electrodes disposed facing each other on either side of the metal electrode, and a housing that supports the metal electrode and the air electrodes, wherein the air electrodes are exposed on an outer face on either side of the housing, a liquid chamber is formed in each housing, and in the metal-air battery unit, an air chamber that is open on top is formed between the facing air electrodes between each of the metal-air battery cells, and in each metal-air battery cell, a through-hole that communicates to the liquid chamber and is supplies an electrolytic solution to the liquid chamber and can also release a product produced by a reaction between the metal electrode and the air electrodes to the outside of the metal-air battery unit is formed.

摘要: A metal-air battery is comprised by a metal-air battery unit having a plurality of juxtaposed metal-air battery cells with a small number of components and a simple structure for injection of the electrolytic solution into each cell. Each metal-air battery cell has an air electrode, a metal electrode arranged to face the air electrode, and a casing configured to support the air electrode and the metal electrode. Each casing includes an air chamber and a liquid chamber. Each air chamber has an upper part opened to the outside. The casing has a liquid feeding port communicating with the liquid chamber for admitting an electrolytic solution when the metal-air battery unit is lowered into a container of electrolytic solution.

摘要: It is an object to provide a metal-air battery and a method for removing an oxide film that can appropriately remove an oxide film while reducing waste of power required for removing the oxide film. The metal-air battery of the present invention includes a battery main body portion in which a metal electrode and an air electrode are arranged so as to be opposed to each other through an electrolytic solution, a USB terminal to which an external load is connected, and a controller for electrically connecting the battery main body portion and the USB terminal, the controller includes a microcomputer for determining connection or disconnection of an external load to or from the USB terminal, and when the microcomputer confirms the connection of the external load, a current for removing an oxide film is made to flow through a circuit including the metal electrode, the air electrode, and an oxide film removing resistor.
