    摘要: An optical transmission system having optical fibres having chromatic dispersion of alternate sign arranged in an optical path in accordance with a dispersion map appropriate for the transmission of dispersion managed solitons at a wavelength λc. The transmission system has a transmission station and a receiver station connected to the optical path. The transmission station launches at least a first optical pulse of wavelength λ1 which is different from λc on the optical path. At least one wavelength conversion device such as a phase conjugation device located along the optical path alters the wavelength of the first pulse of wavelength λ1 in such a way as to obtain a second pulse of wavelength λ2, such that λ2 is on the opposite side from λ1 with respect to λc.

    摘要: An optical transmission system having optical fibres having dispersion of alternate sign greater, in absolute value, than 1 ps/(nm km) arranged in an optical path in accordance with a dispersion map appropriate for the transmission of DM solitons at a wavelength λc. The system has a transmission station and a receiver station connected to the optical path. The transmission station launches on the optical path at least a first optical pulse RZ. At least one phase conjugation device is located along the optical path to invent the spectrum of at least the first pulse. This phase conjugation device is located in a chirp cancellation portion of the optical path which includes a point at which the chirp of a DM solition of wavelength λc is cancelled out.

    摘要: A WDM system includes a transmission station, a receiving station, a first optical path and a second optical path. The first optical path includes a first section and a second section, the second section being capable of compensating at least partially the dispersion accumulated by a series of optical channels along the first section. The series of channels includes at least a first plurality of channels having an average dispersion of the same sign in the first optical path. The system also includes at least a first conversion device, capable of inverting the spectrum and modifying the wavelength of at least the first plurality of channels, to produce a second plurality of channels having an average chromatic dispersion of the same sign in the second optical path.
