摘要： A configurable timer may be used for seamless authentication administration. A network administrator may set the timer value. Then the network administrator may begin to update the authentication configuration or key and the timer may begin to count down. While the timer counts down, the network device may still send outgoing packets using the old authentication configuration or key and may begin to authenticate incoming packets using both the old authentication configuration or key and the new authentication configuration or key. Once it expires, the network device may begin to send outgoing packets using just the new authentication configuration or key. The counter may then be reset and counted down again. Once the counter expires a second time, the new authentication configuration or key may be used for both incoming and outgoing packets. Two-timer implementations are also possible.

A method for providing applications may include determining a ranking for each of a plurality of applications based on an auction value of each corresponding application. In some cases, auction values may be determined by application provider bids. The method may also include determining a ranked placement of the applications based on the application rankings. The method may further include displaying the ranked placement according to a first user selection associated with the applications. The method may then include launching a selected application of the ranked placement in response to a second user selection. A system for providing applications may include an application ranker, an application placer and an application launcher.

摘要： Techniques are disclosed for performing color correction in a color printer. An RGB test image is printed to produce a printed calibration image. Colors in the printed calibration image are measured and compared to expected color values. A color corrector generates a printer lookup table (LUT) based on this comparison. The LUT may be generated based on models of the printer's print engine and previous LUTs. The color corrections are applied to subsequent print jobs to improve the quality of color output. Color measurement and correction may be performed using a closed-loop system contained within the printer that includes a color measurement device (such as a scanner) and a computer.
