A complex compound obtained by reacting a compound represented by the following formula (1) and a polyol having an ether bond in a molecule and having 4 to 12 carbon atoms or a branch polyol having 5 to 7 carbon atoms: M(OR)n (1) wherein R respectively represents an alkyl group having 4 to 12 carbon atoms or an acyl group having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, M represents an aluminum atom, a titanium atom or a silicon atom, and n represents 3 or 4.

A compound represented by formula (1) is provided: wherein M represents an aluminum atom, a titanium atom, a silicon atom, or a boron atom; m represents 1 or 2; n represents a positive integer; R1, R2 and R3 each independently represent a C1-16 alkyl group optionally substituted with one or more fluorine atoms or a C2-17 acyl group optionally substituted with one or more fluorine atoms; and in the case where a plurality of R3 is present, the plurality of R3 may be the same or different to each other.
