Abstract: Reclosable package of cigarettes, comprising: a group of cigarettes; a soft envelope having a parallelepiped shape and comprising a front surface, a rear surface, a top surface, a bottom surface and two side surfaces, the envelope encloses the group of cigarettes and is provided with a cigarette extraction opening; a stiffening element wrapping the envelope along at least two opposite surfaces of the envelope and at the extraction opening; a reclosable opening system consisting in an adhesive closing panel superimposed in a removable manner on an adhesive frame panel, the opening system covers the extraction opening; wherein the closing panel is movable between an opening position and a closing position of the extraction opening, and wherein the opening system is fastened to the stiffening element by firmly superimposing the frame panel on at least two opposite walls of the stiffening element and at the extraction opening.

Abstract: A packing method for applying a heat-seal overwrap to a package of tobacco articles having an inner container, which houses a group of tobacco articles; an outer container housing the inner container in sliding manner; and a hinged lid, which closes an open top end of the inner container; the packing method including the steps of folding a sheet of heat-seal wrapping material into a tube about the package to form a tubular wrapping; folding two ends of the tubular wrapping to complete the overwrap; stabilizing the overwrap with two transverse heat seals; and, at least when making the transverse heat seals, compressing a front wall of the outer container, so as to move at least part of a top edge of the front wall of the outer container beneath a top wall of the lid.

Abstract: A rigid, slide-open packet of cigarettes having: at least one inner package composed of a wrapped group of cigarettes; at least one inner container housing the inner package; an outer container housing the inner container to allow the inner container to slide between a closed position, in which the inner container is inserted inside the outer container, and an open position, in which the inner container is at least partly extracted from the outer container; and a connecting tab, which has an outer end glued to a corresponding part of the outer container, and an inner end glued to a corresponding part of the inner container. The connecting tab connects a rear wall of the outer container to a rear wall of the lid.
